Bolivia, NC – Description The Tax Support Specialist performs technical data entry and clerical work in the County Tax Department. The position is primarily responsible for reviewing properties receiving or applying for land use deferments and exclusion applications for completeness and accuracy. Work also involves assisting the general public, lawyers, realtors and others in areas involving property tax exclusions, educating citizens about land use program eligibility, and assisting with appraisal and mapping inquiries. Duties assigned in this position may vary slightly based on the specific needs of the department and division of workload. The Tax Support Specialist must exercise some independent judgment in properly completing assigned tasks.
